At the Department of Geoinformatics and Didactics of Informatics, we focus on developing our disciplines through research, collaboration with partners and teaching. Our main areas of focus include didactics of informatics and geoinformatics, applications of geographic information systems and cartography, and web cartography. Twenty years ago, we established a GIS lab to serve students working on their projects, theses and coursework. The lab is a meeting place for students and faculty to collaborate and conduct research using GIS.
